VSA Thailand Conducts Pilot Assessment at Pa Sang School, Lamphun, Ahead of New Volunteer Project Launch
LAMPHUN, THAILAND — On November 4, 2026, the Volunteer Spirit Association (VSA Thailand) conducted an official pilot site visit to Pa Sang School in Lamphun Province to lay the groundwork for an upcoming collaborative volunteer project.
The initiative follows a recommendation from the Director of Ratchaprachanukroh 26 (RPG 26) School, Lamphun, highlighting Pa Sang School as a community with high potential for non-formal educational development and intercultural exchange.
The exploratory visit was led by Mr. Laksana Rodtrakul, National Coordinator of VSA Thailand, who met formally with School Director Mrs. Supattra Wammakok, school administrators, and faculty members. The mission focused on assessing the school’s facilities, evaluating community needs, and determining key action areas for future international and local voluntary service initiatives.
Pa Sang School is slated to become one of VSA Thailand’s newest host project sites. Planned cooperation will emphasize intercultural exchange, English language development, creative learning workshops for students, and community-driven initiatives rooted in the rich cultural heritage of the Lamphun area.
During the assessment, Mr. Rodtrakul reviewed campus logistics, including volunteer living quarters, safety standards, and activity spaces, ensuring the venue aligns with VSA Thailand’s hosting frameworks. Discussions with school leaders also explored ways to engage students through non-formal educational activities that broaden global perspectives while celebrating local Lanna traditions.
The visit marks a positive milestone in VSA Thailand’s continuing expansion into northern Thailand, strengthening ties between international volunteer networks and grassroots educational communities. Further program details and the formal project kickoff schedule are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
