My volunteering experience here in Thailand

came to an end

During these two weeks, I was with 6 other international volunteers and our mission was to teach English in schools in Songkhla province.

My main school was the Wat Kok Muang school: we taught in Kindergarten 1,2,3 and grades 2 to 6 in primary school. We mainly used lots of games involving sports and English (animals, colours, sports, jobs…) and the students had a lot of fun.

They were very kind, respectful and despite their low English level, we managed to teach them new knowledge. We also went to different English camps in Nathawi, Padang Besar with hundreds of kids from kindergarten to 6th grade. It required a lot of energy and it was exhausting sometimes but it was a very interesting and unforgettable experience as a school teacher.

During our free time, our group leader Que and Sun Ton a local teacher, took us to visit different places such as Khao Yai island, Pakbara or Hat Yai. We also met local thai students from Taksin University for an intercultural exchange. Time went really fast during these two weeks and I’m really grateful to have done this volunteer camp. Thank you VSA!!
