Story Telling

Youth Exchange; HATHAICHANOK SAIDUANGKAEW, Leader of Thai Youth Exchange Group, Nepal

Namaste everyone. I am Tabbie. I had a chance to be one of the participants from Thailand to join the Art of Social Innovator Youth Exchange project which was organized in Nepal in April 2022.

There are 5 countries that participated; Romania, Italy, Nepal, South Korea, and Thailand.

First of all, I would like to talk about the project. The main topics are Social Entrepreneurship and Circular Economy. It sounds difficult. But don't worry. Because it is a youth exchange project, we came to brainstorm, discuss and learn together through non-formal education activities.

The facilitator from Romania is very nice and enthusiastic. She let us brainstorm about the definition and examples by ourselves, then assigned each country to be facilitators and organized the activities about Circular Economy. These made us discuss and bring our creative passion to finish the creative work. Even if I have basic knowledge about Social Entrepreneurship and Circular Economy, I still enjoy every activity of this project. Moreover, the people that I've met are amazing. Although we came from different countries and have different cultures, we got along with each other very fast. It was a good opportunity to learn more about culture differences, and practice English speaking skills both in-person and in public.

One thing that I can see is no one judges people on their English level. They were willing to listen and try to understand everyone. It was very impressive.

Last but not least, exotic Nepal, a country that I've never been to before. Everything was incredible; the people, culture, food, places, and lifestyle. It is a country that is better to visit and see by yourself than to read from a book.

One last thing, I would like to mention my teammates; Mint, May, and Tiwa, who always support me in every single thing. Thank you so much, guys. I appreciate it. As a team leader, I would like to say thank you for your perfect preparation, we've done a very good job on this project. Hope you all enjoy it. And thank you VSA Association for this great opportunity as well.
