Summary of My Trip to Thailand (September)
Folklore Museum
Arrival and Settling In
I arrived in Thailand for a volunteering mission. Initially, I was with a host family, but since the house was far from everything, I requested to move to the university. This allowed me to get closer to another volunteer and the university students.
Engagement at the Museum
- Role:
As a mediator at the Folklore Museum, I became a guide for foreign visitors, which helped me improve my communication skills.
- Activities:
I participated in organizing various workshops, such as dyeing, candy making, preservation of ancient objects, shadow puppetry, and cooking.
- Special Projects:
I contribute to creating learning content about certain works in the museum to complement the museum exhibitions.
Cultural Interactions
Meetings:
I had enriching exchanges with other volunteers and students to better understand different cultures.
Personal Development:
These interactions helped me gain a better understanding of Thai culture and develop intercultural awareness.
Cultural Visits
Songkhla :
I visited Songkhla, a relaxing coastal town, where I enjoyed the beaches and walked around the old quarter.
Surat Thani :
In Surat Thani, I visited the Pillar Shrine and enjoyed a great diversity of Thai food.
Temples :
I explored temples like Wat Thammakhot in northern Songkhla and Wat Yang near the city of Nakhon Si Thammarat.
Park and Waterfall :
I also ventured into a national park (Ton Nga Chang Wildlife Sanctuary) to admire the Ton Plio waterfalls and surrounding nature.

Leadership Camp:
I am involved in a camp scheduled from October 25 to 27, where I need to create activities on leadership and teamwork, enhancing my organizational skills.
Collaboration:
I am working with Sui Tam Sanchez, a Mexican volunteer, to facilitate the camp activities, promoting cultural exchange.
