สมาคมจิตอาสา พิสูจน์ศักยภาพในฐานะองค์กรอาสาสมัครนานาชาติ (International Voluntary Service หรือ IVS) ชั้นนำในภูมิภาคเอเชีย ด้วยการคว้าทุนสนับสนุนโครงการความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศรวม 31 โครงการ ภายใต้โปรแกรม Erasmus+ และ Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) สหภาพยุโรป โดยตั้งแต่ปี 2014 จนถึงปัจจุบัน สมาคมจิตอาสา ได้เข้าร่วมเป็นพันธมิตรหลักในการขับเคลื่อนความคิดริเริ่มด้านการพัฒนา การเสริมสร้างศักยภาพเยาวชน และงานวิจัยรวมทั้งสิ้น 31 โครงการ

การที่สมาคมจิตอาสา ก้าวขึ้นสู่ตำแหน่งผู้นำในเซกเตอร์ IVS ของเอเชียมากที่สุด สืบเนื่องมาจากโมเดลการดำเนินงานเชิงกลยุทธ์ที่ขับเคลื่อนด้วย 3 เสาหลักสำคัญ ได้แก่:

พลังของภาคีในยุโรป: ภายใต้กรอบทุนของสหภาพยุโรป หน่วยงานในทวีปยุโรปจะทำหน้าที่เป็น "ผู้ประสานงานหลัก" ในขณะที่องค์กรที่ได้รับความไว้วางใจระดับสากลอย่างสมาคมจิตอาสา จะทำหน้าที่สำคัญในฐานะ "องค์กรเจ้าภาพ" หรือภาคีร่วม
