MLTV1303 Folklore museum on Yor Island Songkhla

Background

The officers of The Institute for Southern Thai Studies had high motivation to exchange with international volunteers about culture and language so they asked the international volunteers contribution in their culture seminar activities. The Institute Southern Thai Study is the great museum in the south with fantastic view, located on the hill on Koh Yor island, Songkhla.

Working

Volunteer will support the museum, learning Southern Thai culture, receive training to be a guide for tourist visiting and cleaning the antiques in the museum.

Songkhla is both one of Thailand's most important port cities and a coastal province known for its ethnic diversity and its unique traditions, dialect, and folk entertainment. http://www.tourismthailand.org/Where-to-Go/Songkhla

Accommodation and food Volunteer will stay in the museum accommodation or Home stay with Museum sfaff. Food will be provided by the museum.

· Water Park in Songkhla zoo

· Songkhla Beach

· Local Temple

· Songkhla city

Extra Fee 14,000 Bath per month for 1st months (including project preparation and orientation week) and 12,000 Bath for 2^nd, 3rd month after 4th months is 10,000 Bath per month.

Special Remarks Culture respect is needed. Open mind and love to learn and share.
