Goi cuon

"Goi cuon - Vietnamese fresh spring rolls"

In Vietnam, the fresh spring roll is a traditional dish beside the fried version. Foreigners, who have come or experienced Vietnamese food culture, always highly recommend that the fresh spring rolls as a must-try dish if you travel to Vietnam and they are easily bought in food stalls along streets in hectic cities.

Like other spring roll dishes, they are believed to have an origin in China and were introduced to Vietnam by Chinese immigrants. Each region in Vietnam has different names to call the fresh spring rolls: goi cuon meaning salad rolls, nem rolls, or rice paper rolls.

They are great as a cool summertime appetizer, and are delicious dipped in one or both of the sauces. The fresh spring rolls basically made from simple ingredients like pork, prawn, vegetables, rice vermicelli, and other ingredients wrapped in Vietnamese rice papers, we need to cut all ingredients into thin slices and then put all stuff on wet rice papers and wrap around. We can enjoy rolls with Vietnamese sour and sweet fish sauce. It is done and I hope you guys can make and enjoy them from home.
