Outdoor teacher Camp Ep.3 "Ban Huay Na Gad"

Ban Huay Na Gad is the Akha's tribe village Mae Suai, Chiang Rai up on the mountain. There is 1 school and 1 teacher taking care of students. Akha is the biggest ethnic group in Thailand. Ulo Akha group or Akha Thai, which is the Akha ethnic group who came to Thailand as the first group. They are the most prominent group in wearing Akha hats. Group naming is based on the style of wearing hats. The villagers of Huai Nakad migrated their families from Ban Kha Yaeng, Mae Chan Sub-district, Mae Chan District, Chiang Rai Province to live at Ban Huai Khi Lek, Wawee Sub-district, Mae Suai District for about 3 years, but there was a problem of not enough food. Later, about 3-4 families of villagers went to build a farm in the area adjacent to the Nakad stream. The first group of 17 villagers, Nai Luang Ma Yer, was the leader and invited each other to move from Ban Huay Kee Lek to set up a community in 1962. The community was named after the water source as "Ban Huai Nagad" for "Huai Nagad" was formerly known as "Huai Naga" because a Lahu woman named "Naka" or what the Lahu people called "Nakama" died in the creek of this Therefore, people call it "Huai Naga". The word "Naka" or "Nakama" in Lahu language means "mad ghost" is an unlucky word, so it is called "Huai Nagad" instead. “Ban Huai Nakad” community lives according to the Akha way of life. The population grew. There are Lahu people who have come to live as well and live together peacefully until now

12:00-13:00 Lunch
13:00 - 15:00 Walking to the village about 5 km. Introduction to the students and teacher, separate the house, we will be accomodated 2-3 people in each house, separate male and female and start to cook the first meal in the village.

19:00 After supper, evening activities, getting to know each other, talking about village history and culture

08:00 Be at the common area, students go to school and the villagers will build the road the whole day with us.

Wake up very early in the morning to cook together. Today we will run the activities with about 30 kids
08:00 Warm up with kids, separate the group for learning, art group, music group, Geography Community Map group, science group, etc.
